The Pevisaprogram for Alaskan Malamutes
Alaskan Malamutes are part of the Finnish Kennel Club Pevisa -program.
The Finnish Kennel Club regulations for Alaskan Malamutes are:
To be able to register an Alaskan malamute litter in Finland , the parents of the litter must fullfill the following regulations

both parents of the litter must be x-rayd for hipdysplasia, the minimum age of x-raying is 12 months

both parents of the litter must be eye screened officially and they are not allowed to have a sickness called hederitary cataract, HC.
If one of the parents has hederitary cataract his/her offspring is not registred. The eyecheck reports of both parents of the litter must be valid (not older than 24 months) by the time of mating
Official hip- and eyechecking report is only allowed to an dog that carries identification , either tattoo or microchip.
